Dear Future Hostfamily,
first of all I would like to thank you for reading my letter and giving me the chance to get to know the real “American way of life”. For giving you a first impression of me I want to tell you something about me and my life.
My name is XXX, I am 19 years old. A few months ago, i lived togehter with my mum, my brother and our two cats in a flat in XXX. XXX is a small village, in the near of XXX. The capital of XXXX. But now I live in my own appartment, 'cause I want to be more self-sufficientand and I want to „stand on my own feet“.
My father lives since 20 years in the United Stades of America. Togheter with my brother, I visit him when I was ten yeas old. But only for 2 weeks. Since then it’s my biggest wish, to go for a longer time to America. My whole family supports me there.
Since the year 2010 I make a trainee as a retail clork in a food shop. Once a week, I have to go to school. Where I learn a lot of the ingredients of the whole food and drinks and about a healthy way of life. At work i like to adivse costumer and to help them.
I don’t have much free time either,but when I have a while I listen to music (I do it all the time when i am at home, even if I am doing something else). Besides this I like to do something with my friends, reading books or watching good movies or going to concerts as well. I also like to make crazy things like sky diving or bungee jumping. I love to traveling all over the world. Until now i was in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, France, America and next year me and my schoolclass went to ireland.
Overall, I think I’m a pretty nice person. I love to have fun and be crazy but I also can appreciate the art of conversation and beauty of just being with people you love. I really look to live life to its fullest. I am ambitious and a big dreamer. I have a lot of ideas for my future! I love meeting new people and learning all about their backgrounds because I believe everyone has a story. It has always been one of my dreams to be an Au pair and I’m so exited that’s its finally happening.
