ich habe ewig vor diesem Brief gesessen und denke, ich bin jetzt so gut wie fertig. Ich bin ziemlich schlecht in Texte verfassen, darum hab ich mich da auch ziemlich schwer getan. Könnt ihr bitte einmal rüberlesen und mir sagen, wie ihr ihn findet? Und bitte bitte Verbesserungsvorschläge machen? Das wäre sehr sehr lieb 
Dear Hostfamily
First of all I want to say Thank you for the opportunity to stay with you in my year abroad. In this letter I want to introduce me, my family and friends, and I want to tell you the reasons why I want to stay a year in the USA.
My name is Carolin xxx and I am 15 years old, but when I come to you I am 16 years old. I live with my parents and my little brother in xxx, this is a little city near Berlin. There we live in a house with a nice garden. My parents named xxxx. They work in Berlin in a annuity assurance. My little brother named xxx and he is 10 years old. In our house also live my guinea pigs Luna and Frieda and our fishs. I really like pets, so it wouldn’t be a problem if you have some.
My brother and me go to the same school, it is a catholic private school. I am in grade 10 and my little brother is in grade 5. My favorite subjects are maths, english, science and french. After school I presently want to become a doctor but I guess that this could be change in the next years.
My friends describe me as a friendly, helpful and easy person. I always want that every person in my near feel good. I am also very open and inquiring. It isn’t a problem for me to meet new people and talk to them.
In our family we have a good relationship. We do a lot of things together, for example we watch a movie, play a game or go to the cinema. On holidays we often travel. For this we were in Spain, Greece, Egypt, Maldives, Italy, Austria, USA and other countries. Sometimes I have an argument with my little brother, but I think it is normal between sisters and brothers. In our household I clean my room, the bathroom, the floor, the stairs, the cage of our guinea pigs, I make the dishes and I cook sometimes.
One of the important parts of my life are my friends. I know them from the school, my dance club or from my parents. They are always there for me and help me if I am in trouble or something like that. Also can I have a lots of fun with them and we laugh very often. My best friend named Pia. I know her since we were eleven. We often do things together, for example we make a trip to Berlin, go shopping or make a sleep-over. We are always honestly to the other and I can be who I am when we are together.
My hobby is dancing, I am a member of a dance club in my hometown since I am four years old. I have trained the four to five years old children of this dance club for two years. I also like to meet my friends, to go shopping, to skate, to swim, to play table tennis, to read and to make trips to Berlin with my friends or family. There we go shopping, to the cinema or do something else.
I want to live in the USA for a year and to visit a high school because I think it is a good chance to learn better english, to find new friends and a second family on the other side of the world. I guess it is a good way to become more confident and independent. Also I always want to go to a high school and to see the high school spirit. In our trips to the USA I was very excited about the country and the people there.
I am very excited to meet you and to stay with you in my year abroad. I guess we will have a good time together and a lots of fun.
