mein Brief:
Dear hostfamily,
I’m Eva and I’m 16 years old. Here in Germany I live in a small village with about 200 inhabitans in Bavaria. That’s in the south of Germany, a two hour drive from Munich.
My family an I have gone skiing every winter since I was four years old. It takes only fifteen minutes to drive from our to the ski-run and I often go skiing there with my friends. Apart from that I have a partial ownership of a horse, called Corporal and I go to the stables four or five times a week, in holidays even more.
In summer I sometimes take part in outdoor-activitys like rock-climbing with an outdoororganisation called „Naturfreunde“ (naturelovers). All in all sport and being ective is very important to me, but I have got another side, too.
At school I have sung in the choir for the past six years and have paricipated in school-concerts with it. This year I guide the 5th graders of my school through the first weeks of life in a new school. These children are ten or eleven years old and working with them is very funny.
Apart from school I like going to the movies with my friends.
This year in Canada will be Chance for me to improve my English and learn about the Canadian way of life. I want to spend one year in Canada because I like Canada’s landscape. Also would I have the opportunity to learn french in a Canadian school and I don’t know yet if I want to choose french as an subject for my final examination in Germany.
My German scool starts at 8am but I have to take the bus to which leaves at 7am. Usually school ends at 1pm after the sixth lesson but three times a weak I have eight lessons which finishes at half past three. After scholl I take the bus or train home.
Thank you for hosting me for one year. I’m looking forward to spending a wonderful year with you.
