Hallo,
meine Mum soll ein Brief über mich schreiben, doch sie schreibt irgentwie fast dasselbe wie ich in meiner Selbstdarstellung geschrieben habe!
Was haben eure eltern über euch geschrieben und wieviel war euer text? am computer geschrieben ist der von meinen eltern über mich nur eine halbe seite lang!

Also als erstes hat sich meine Mutter bedankt und halt auch geschrieben, dass es für sie auch ein bisschen schwierig ist, da ich das erste mal so lange von zu Hause weg gehe und so.
Danach hat sie mich aus ihrer Sicht beschrieben, meinen Charakter und auch was ich in miener Freizeit so mache.
Sonst hat sie noch allgemein über die Familie erzählt und über unseren Alltag.
Der Brief wurde dann knapp eine A4 Seite.

das ist meiner:
Dear Host Family,
First of all we want to thank you for taking up a foreign student in your family.
When our daughter Melanie told us that she wants to make an exchange year in the USA
we B. and J. were quiet shocked. Our small daughter thousands of kilometres away from home, that wasn’t a nice thought.
But now we are absolutely happy with her decision and we hope she will be happy
after her stay in the USA, too.
We live in western Germany and our family is a quiet big family. We
have got two sons, X1. (alter) and X. (alter),
and one daughter Melanie (alter). X1. doesn’t live with us, he lives in his own apartment
in our house and he has his own household. He works as a business man and has to work
till the evening. X visits a secondary school and he
is interested in sports and plays soccer and table tennis. Melanie visits a secondary school
and she’s in grade nine. She’s a good student and had never problems at school. Her favourite
subjects are math, English and art and the subject she doesn’t really like is France.
Melanie is a purposefully person. She likes to spend time with her family
and friends and to do different activities like riding, swimming, ice skating, watching movies,
going shopping or just talking. And every Sunday X, Melanie and J. visit a family sport where we play soccer or do other sports.
We as her parents think that the different culture and the new country will be a great
experience for Melanie. The hardest part could be the first days. At the beginning she
might be a bit shay, but after some time she blossoms and gets more confident.
Melanie is a trustable person, she helps in the household and she has got to do
work like loading and unloading the dishwasher, tidy up her room and sometimes
she tidies up the kitchen or the living room. She does the work often together with her
brother X.
The reason why Melanie wants to make an exchange year is, she wants to get to know
the American way of live and the American school spirit, she wants to improve her English
and to get to know a different culture and different people.
We hope that we could introduce our family to you so that you could decide if Melanie
could be a part of your family.

hoffentlich hilft dir das ein bisschen
Vielleicht hilft es, den Brief erst auf Deutsch zu schreiben und dann ins Englische zu übersetzen.
Meiner hat gerade so auf eine A4-Seite gepasst, ich bin hier auf einer besonderen Schule, Vegetarier und habe ansonsten einen für mein Alter recht langen Lebenslauf.
Aber ich denke nicht, dass es viel ausmacht, wie lang der Brief von den Eltern ist, ich denke, dass der Brief vom Schüler viel wichtiger ist.
Mach dir am besten nicht so viele Gedanken darüber.
