ich möchte mich für ein Stipendium bewerben und muss dafür auch eine Begründung, warum mir ein Teilstipendium bewilligt werden sollte (auf englisch) schreiben.
Ich habe nur leider kaum Ideen - außer, warum ich überhaupt ins Ausland möchte und dass das eben relativ teuer ist und ich deshalb gern das Teilstipendium hätte (da ist aber auch das Problem, dass meine Eltern den Aufenthalt auch so bezahlen könnten…).
Meint ihr es reicht, wenn ich sonst noch schreibe, dass ich ehrenamtlich aktiv bin, mehrere Musikinstrumente (auch auf Konzerten) spiele, gut in der Schule und hochbegabt bin? Das ist finde ich nicht so gute Gründe, wie wenn man es sich ohne Stipendium das Auslands(halb)jahr nicht leisten könnte…
Was meint ihr dazu und habt ihr vielleicht Ideen, was ich noch schreiben könnte?

Du könntest auf jeden Fall noch schreiben warum du ausgerechnet in dieses Land möchtest (falls du das angibst). Ansonsten solltest du sie halt davon überzeugen das du wirklich Lust auf ein Auslandsjahr hast, vielleicht zählt du die Sachen auf auf die du dich alles freust (:

Since an information meeting at school about high school years, I have the wish to do it. One reason why I chose Canada is that I want to go to an English-speaking country. Another reason is that I can live in a village in the Rocky Mountains because I like the nature and skiing. I live in Northern Germany where are no mountains why I can ski only one week a year in my holidays. I think I can learn many new things even if I will have finished school in Germany because it is a different culture and there are many interesting subjects at school which do not exist in Germany.
I am very good at school because I am highly gifted. I began school a few days after my sixth birthday and I skipped the first grade. In the sixth grade I had to choose Latin or French but I did both so that I attended only the half lesson in these subjects. Later I learned Spanish. When I was in Primary School I learned Dutch so that I learn(ed) five foreign languages. But a special gift I have for mathematics. I participated successfully in a competition called “Mathematik-Olympiade”. Last year I attended “Schülerakademie Mathematik und Informatik“. This is an academy of mathematics and computer science for the best 100 students in grade 11 in North Rhine-Westphalia.
I work on a voluntary basis. I made a training as a youth leader (=Jugendleiterausbildung, ist das richtig?) and further educations. Now I lead confirmation trips and the training courses for adolescents who become youth leader. (Ist das verständlich?)
In my free time I like making music. I play the soprano recorder for eleven years, the alto recorder for six years and the piano for five years. And now I learn playing the trumpet. Some years ago I sang in the church choir and the school choir. I often play on school concerts or accompany the church choir. (Ich weiß nicht, ob ich diesen Abschnitt vielleicht ganz weglassen soll)
My parents and me invest much time and money in my extracurricular education like piano, ballet or Dutch lessons and special courses for highly gifted children. In the next half year I will earn money (for example I give private tuition) in order to support my parents financially.
Spending five months at a Canadian High School is expensive: It costs more than three monthly salaries of my parents. Therefore I apply for this grant. (diesen Schluss finde ich irgendwie noch nicht gut)
